OUR JOURNEY SO FAR

HEALTHCARE

  1. Emergency health (trauma center)
    The foundation built a trauma center at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, (UITH). The Ten Bed Advanced Trauma Centre was valued at millions of Naira. Some of the equipment at the 10- bed Advanced Trauma Centre include: Central Work Station, Multiple Parameter Monitors, Mobile x-ray, Ventilators, Defibrillator, Three Dimension Ultra-Sound, Infusion Pump, among others. Brought into fruition on September 21, 2012, and was finally handed over to the management of the hospital.
  2. Renal Dialysis
    The foundation established a Renal dialysis center at stadium road in Ilorin, Kwara State.
  3. General Health
    • The foundation supports over 60 patients to settle hospital bills within and outside of Nigeria every year.
    • We have also donated N500,000 (Five Hundred thousand) to LEAH foundation in 2019 for cancer control initiatives particularly, Breast and Cervical Cancers in Kwara State.

 

EDUCATION

  1. Scholarships
    • The foundation awarded five indigent undergraduates of the Ifetedo community in Osun state scholarships of N100,000 each for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 sessions.
    • Awarded five indigent students of Ilorin, Kwara State with scholarships of N100,000 each for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018  academic sessions.
    • The foundation awarded the Sum of N2,018,500 (Two million, Eighteen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) as scholarships to pay for the WAEC and NECO examination fees of 50 indigent students of Ibadan Boy’s High School for 2016/2017 and the Sum of N2,051,000 (Two million, Fifty One Thousand, Naira) for 2018/2019 session.
    • We have two law students at the crescent university, Abeokuta on scholarship.
    • Since 2006, the foundation has been committed to supporting indigent law students to settle part of their law school fees. This has been a yearly tradition and for every year we supported not less than 40 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries enjoy a scholarship worth Fifty thousand naira to Hundred thousand naira. Last year, there were 42 beneficiaries with scholarships of Fifty thousand naira each. Occasionally, some beneficiaries enjoy the full payment of their law school fees.

To further show our commitment to education, through the chairman of the foundation, Mallam Yusuf olaolu Ali SAN, the foundation has carried out the following educational projects;

  • Equipped an e-resource center at Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin with forty unit ICT.
  • Built and donated an 80-bed hostel named “Ali Balogun Hostel” to indigent students of the Osun State University in Ifetedo, Osun state.
  • Donated a 100-bed hostel to Fountain University named “Yusuf Olaolu Ali Luxurious Hostel” in Osogbo.
  • Donated a Sixty (60) Bedspace twin dormitory in memory of his late wife Fawziyyah Lola Kehinde Ali (FALKAL) to the University of Ilorin in July 2009 for the accommodation of indigent female students who cannot afford the fee payable for hostel accommodation in the University.
  • Donated a thirty user e-library to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife
  • Donated Forty units ICT center to the College of Law, Crescent University Abeokuta Ogun State and an endowment of the Crescent University College of Law Building
  • An e-learning center of 40 unit ICT Summit university
  • Gave financial assistance to student associations over the years.
  • We have likewise supported several Secondary School, Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. students across the nation to settle their school fees.
  • In our commitment to the development of literary awareness in secondary schools all over the country, we entered into an annual sponsorship with the Association of Nigerian Authors. Since 2011, Yusuf Ali (SAN), the chairman of the foundation, has been giving yearly grants of Three Million Naira to the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) for literacy campaigns in Nigeria.

TAKING CARE OF ORPHANS AND FEEDING THE POOR

  • Since the founding of the foundation, millions of naira have been spent to help disparate persons set up businesses within Nigeria.
  • We empower hundreds of petty traders with financial aid.
  • The Chairman for more than 25 years has supported thousands of vulnerable persons, to provide for their needs and millions of naira have been spent on this cause. Yusuf Olaolu Ali Foundation, from November 2018 to August 2019 gave over five million naira as financial aid to many people ranging from widows to orphans and the poor, etc.

 
OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS TO ISLAMIC CAUSES
Over the years,  the chairman of the foundation has been involved in the sponsorship of Islamic programs of radio and television, in addition to sponsoring groups and individuals on Islamic enlightenment. They are as follows;

The foundation has equally given financial assistance to complete and equip mosques and Islamic centers across the nation. Millions of Naira have been spent on these for years.

OTHER EFFORTS

Other philanthropic efforts of the Foundation include:

  • Proselytisation of the principles of the law through the sponsorship of a radio program called You and the law at NTA Ilorin
  • Donation of a well-equipped patrol van and units of motorcycles to the Kwara State police command
  • A brand new Kia Rio 2014 Model to the University of Ibadan for the use of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies of the University
  • Donated an SUV to the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN)
  • An SUV to the Center for Peace and Strategic Studies at the University of Ilorin.
  • Donated a bus to the Madrasah of the Chief Imam of Ilorin
  • The chairman donated 5 million naira to Kwara state government as COVID-19 relief fund and Yusuf Olaolu Ali Foundation in collaboration with OFM charity donated 2000 bottles of hand sanitizers to the government.
  • Donated 5 million Naira to Osun State COVID-19 relief committee
  • We also provided different foodstuffs worth millions of naira as COVID-19 palliatives for the people.
  • We donated thousands of hand sanitizers to people across the nation during and after COVID-19 lockdown.
  • In our commitment to provide water in rural areas, we dig at least 10 wells every year and boreholes to communities across the nation since 2005.
  • Through APEKS Microfinance Bank, we give non-interest loans to people to set up businesses.
  • Through the Chairman, the foundation has also supported disparate government parastatals to meet some of their needs.
